Malaysian Tour 1.2
I’m back in Canada for my third year of study. Another 2 years to go and done. But as usual, we have to face so many obstacles in studies and life. That is the normal course for every human being. Anyways, I wanna skip that part first and continue what I left unfinished. I hate myself for being a person that can’t finish the job that I’ve started. For example, right now it has been 4 months since I started reading The Black Book novel. I tried to get it every time I went to bed, but after 4 to 5 pages, I’ve long gone into the dreamy world of letters and confusion (yes, the novel is so hard to understand, I mean the plot that the writer puts up). Forget that, here goes my final tourism destination for this year’s summer.

Langkawi for the second time. Hua, hua, sorry about that guys. But personally speaking to my mates that travel with me during the middle of June, we had a very good time compared to this one. August is the beginning of raining season. I stayed there for 4 days, but 2 days gone because of rain. The activity, as usual an unfigured by me, again is Island Hopping. The same spot: Dayang Bunting, Eagle “Fiding” and Beras Basah. But this time, I get my revenge swimming in the sea uninterrupted by the stupid Landak Laut at Beras Basah. Less pain, more gain. But not every revenge is a sweet revenge, after 10 minutes of swimming, rain started pouring down and heavily for another 20 minutes.

Jetty At Dayang Bunting

We stayed at a free apartment, of Ariff courtesy. We had our dinner at, well first night at a restaurant near the airport, second night at home due to heavy rain, and third night…damn, I forgot. The evening after we finish our trip of Island Hopping (that is the scond day we arrived in Langkawi), all of us tried to go to Beras Terbakar, but since Amir’s dad is driving, we couldn’t say much (I can’t say much), we just hanging around Pantai Cenang, viewing people in the sea swimming happily while spotting dark cloud in the horizon. Then all of us went to the apartment and called it a day.

Tomorrow, we all planned to go to Machincang Cable Car, but then due to the freaking rain, we aborted our plan and went to Tanjung Rhu. Lets get the details. The rain started early in the morning, by 10 a.m. it started to slow down, so we decided to get out of the apartment and tour around the so called Largest Shopping Mall in Langkawi, which as big as Selayang Mall. After the rain stopped, which is around 11 a.m. we all went to Tanjung Rhu by taking the old road, passing the old houses and villages, taking the natural suasana kampung, permai desa. Haha. Around 12 p.m. to our disappointment, the rain started again. By the time we arrived at Tanjung Rhu, the rain was heavy. Despite of that, I was awed by the place’s beauty. Okayh, here come the serious part, a tragedy occured here, at one of Tanjung Rhu’s restaurants. Not going to share the “real” detail here, skip it for the sake of mankind (i.e. for the sake of Ariff). We decided to come again in the evening before the sunset, if that we can’t get onto the Cable Car.

After Jumaat Prayer, we grab our wet clothes and went back to cable car, and to our dissapointment, the cable car can’t operate due to the heavy fog at the top. So, we all went back to Tg. Rhu. The ocean at that time produced a scary waves near the shore. By the look of it, only a good swimmer can get into it. I can’t since I don’t know how to swim. So began our project of “Gambar Lompat” and I don’t have the experiment results right now, so we have to wait for a month (the guy in charge has difficulty in connecting to internet).

Tanjung Rhu is so cool with naked eye

Next day, was our last day. It was Saturday, and the weather was the best, despite of the heat. One of the thing that pleased me in this tour for second time was that I able to do some shopping for my Sis and Mom. Then I know that Langkawi is the shopping heaven for my Mom, and it would be hell for me if I enrolled into MRSM Langkawi. Owh yeah, for this tour, I managed to take the ferry instead of Airplane, and it’s not a pleasure experience. For the first half of the day, before we dapart to Kuala Lumpur, we tried our luck again for the Cable Car experience, but unfortunately, like the rest of us expected, it was full and packed with human. Darn school holidays.

Look at that
With that, my summer holiday ended with *somewhat* a blast. Dilemma. I wish that I can hit Redang someday…

Damn you’re giving me ideas of what I want to do over the summer nanti hahaha! Berapa ek peruntukan budget untuk travel2 ke Langkawi nih (in your case)?
And oh yes…have a great semester ahead! =) Same goes to the other Pet scholars there – my regards to them!

Alrashid:
Memang rugi gak arh kan, sbb time aku pg Rhu ni pun mendung gila. Nak hujan jer.
Irving:
Budget depends on travel route. If ambik flight, It gonna cost you more, about 300 for the return flight. If you take bus and ferry it will be below 200. Then for the accomodation, try to go there in a large group, but please no more than 10 people, so it will cost you about 300 for 3 days 2 night (try to find good place to stay: easy to access and cheap), but then you maybe need more than that if you want to buy souvenirs…
Ariff:
InsyaAllah arr redang 2010, tp tu pun bila ntah. Next year kemungkinan BESAR aku tak balik kan. so, ntah lah. Dah start pg GYM?? Hahaha.
Kham:
Memang hari tu pun kami nak gi last minit gak. Tp disebabkan notion taknak susahkan diri dan mak-bapak, so cancel last minit.
Areif:
